DeskSprite

DeskSprite is a free desktop pet application that brings an interactive AI companion to your screen on Windows, macOS, and Chrome. The pet responds to your clicks, follows your cursor, and stays quiet while you work, creating a familiar presence every time you open your laptop.

The app offers multiple ways to enjoy a desktop pet: use a free default pet (Ghost or Bengie) with no account needed, choose from additional pets in the shop (some exclusive to members), or create a fully custom AI pet by uploading 1-3 photos of your own cat, dog, or even a monster. The AI generates realistic movement animations while preserving your pet's unique appearance.

Unlike static wallpapers, DeskSprite creates an engaging interactive experience that remains entertaining over time. The app runs locally to keep your data private, supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and is available as a Chrome extension for convenience.
